From a Sunday Pilates class to a rooftop yoga session and a padel match, Citadines Sudirman Jakarta and Citadines Gatot Subroto Jakarta spent September exploring different ways to experience Jakarta beyond the usual daily routine. The sessions were part of Activ8, Citadines’ global campaign for active and well-balanced living, which returned this year with the theme “Your City, Your Rhythm.” Over the course of the month, the programme brought together guests, communities, corporate partners and media through a mix of wellness sessions and social gatherings.
The programme began on 13 September 2026 with a Mat Pilates session at Citadines Sudirman Jakarta. Held with Weekend Escape, a yoga and Pilates community, the class welcomed staying guests for a Sunday morning of mindful movement. The intimate gathering also offered an easy way for guests to meet and connect beyond the usual hotel experience.

On 20 September, Activ8 headed to Upfinity at Up Thamrin Nine for “Sunset Beyond Skyline: Flow Above the Skyline, Unwind with the City.” The rooftop wellness session was held with Samasta Yoga and took place against Jakarta’s skyline at sunset. Participants had time to slow down, focus on their practice and enjoy a different view of the city.
The final activation took a more competitive turn on 25 September, when “Court & Connect” brought 16 pairs of players to Padeloom for a padel tournament with Citadines’ corporate partners and clients. The event was designed as more than a sporting match. The games were followed by a relaxed gathering where corporate partners, clients and media relations could catch up, exchange conversations and make new connections outside the workplace.
“Activ8 is about encouraging people to make movement and wellbeing part of their everyday lifestyle, while creating opportunities to connect with the people and communities around them,” said Hairil Mukhlis, General Manager of Citadines Sudirman Jakarta and Citadines Gatot Subroto Jakarta. “Through this series, we wanted to bring that spirit to life in different ways, from mindful Pilates and rooftop yoga to an energetic padel gathering. Each experience reflects how Citadines can be more than a place to stay. It can be a gateway to experiencing the city, its people and its lifestyle.”
Across the three activations, Activ8 offered three very different ways to spend time in Jakarta. Pilates kept the morning close to home at Citadines Sudirman, yoga moved the experience above the city streets, and padel created a lively setting for sport and conversation.
The programme also connects with Citadines’ “Your City’s Friend” spirit and its invitation to Unlock the City. The idea encourages guests and local communities to experience Jakarta beyond their accommodation while making space for work, wellness and leisure. Citadines Apart’hotel is managed by The Ascott Limited, a member of CapitaLand, with the Jakarta properties continuing to create experiences that connect their guests with the city around them.
