Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali has unveiled a new venue for outdoor celebrations in Bali with the opening of Suwarga Garden. An evening of changing settings, cultural celebrations and outdoor entertainment gave guests a glimpse of what weddings and events could look like at the resort’s newest facility.
Officially opened on 25 September 2026 with a celebration themed “Garden of Four Wonders”, the venue takes its name from the Balinese word for “heaven”. Set among lush greenery and centred around a seven-metre colour-changing waterfall, Suwarga Garden is made up of five distinct areas: The Banyan Court, an intimate leafy setting; The Pavilion, an elegant sheltered space; The Cascading Lawn and The Lawn Court, which open onto broader areas of greenery; and The Waterfall Court, the garden’s magical centrepiece. Together, these spaces can accommodate gatherings from 50 to 1,250 guests.
Rather than simply introducing these spaces, the opening evening turned the garden into a showcase of its possibilities. Guests moved through settings inspired by Indian, international, Chinese and Indonesian wedding traditions, demonstrating how the venue can take on different characters depending on the occasion.

The Banyan Court was styled as an elegant international wedding setting, while The Lawn Court became an Indian celebration complete with a decorated mandap. Along The Cascading Lawn, the water wall provided a backdrop for a Chinese tea ceremony-inspired setting, while The Pavilion took on a more romantic mood with flowers, flowing drapery and an oversized wedding cake.
The evening itself unfolded as another demonstration of the garden’s flexibility. Cocktails and light bites at The Lawn Court, accompanied by live saxophone music, gave way to a couple’s dance before guests moved towards The Waterfall Court for the main celebration. Dinner brought together Indonesian and Balinese favourites, while Ganesha ek Sanskriti provided Indian specialties, followed by a lively Indian Dance performance by Nitrous Dance, joined by members of the Mövenpick Bali team in traditional attire.
The evening’s highlight came when the venue fell into darkness for a 12-minute drone show by STAL & WAP. Moving formations and imagery traced the story of Suwarga Garden across the night sky, followed by door prizes before fireworks illuminated the sky above Jimbaran.

Located around 15 minutes from the airport and directly connected to Samasta Lifestyle Village, Suwarga Garden adds another option to Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali’s existing event facilities. For indoor occasions, the 420-square-metre Akasa Ballroom provides a formal setting for meetings and celebrations; Anarasa Restaurant offers an alternative in poor weather conditions; and Adriana Cocina & Bar is a sunset rooftop Mexican restaurant.
With its five garden settings, distinctive cultural possibilities and supporting resort facilities, Suwarga Garden offers a flexible new setting for weddings and celebrations in Jimbaran, giving each event room to develop its own atmosphere and story. To mark the opening, couples booking their next wedding or celebration can receive 10% off.
