What does the future of Indonesian craft look like when the next generation gets to shape it? At INACRAFT October 2026, the answer comes through young entrepreneurs, contemporary ideas and technology, all meeting at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) from 7 to 11 October 2026. The fifth edition of the October series takes on the theme “TechnoCraft”, with the next generation of entrepreneurs helping shape the future of Indonesian craft.

The youthpreneurs featured at this year’s exhibition bring their own ideas to Indonesian craft, using contemporary design, social media, digital marketing and new business models alongside cultural influences. Their products show how traditional techniques can find a place in today’s market, while digital platforms give small businesses the chance to reach customers across different cities and countries.

Walk through the JICC halls and the range goes well past the usual handicraft categories. Fashion, accessories, home décor and other creative products fill the exhibition, with different ideas and interpretations of Indonesian craft appearing across the show. For visitors, it means there is plenty to browse, from pieces to take home to products that offer a glimpse at how the next generation is working with Indonesian craft.

There are also other reasons to put the shopping bags down for a while. The Experience Spot offers a closer look at the craft experience, while Craft Talkshow & Workshop sessions open up conversations around the people, ideas and techniques behind the products. Cultural Performances bring another element of Indonesian heritage into the programme, and hungry visitors can make a stop for Indonesian food and snacks available throughout the exhibition area.

INACRAFT has long been a meeting point for makers, designers, entrepreneurs and buyers, as well as the wider public. With “TechnoCraft,” this October’s edition looks at what can happen when traditional skills meet contemporary tools, showing how Indonesian craft can keep evolving while staying connected to the culture behind it.
