Cigarette Girl Author Talk

On Tuesday, 10 June 2025, indulge in an intimate afternoon of literature and conversation at The Clubhouse with acclaimed Indonesian author Ratih Kumala for a special Author Talk on her internationally celebrated novel, Cigarette Girl.

From 12.30 PM – 3 PM, Ratih will discuss the inspirations behind Cigarette Girl, the creative process of adapting her novel for the Netflix screen, and her broader work as a writer. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, engage in thoughtful dialogue, and gain deeper insight into Indonesian literature and heritage. Copies of Cigarette Girl will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
