After more than a decade, Pasar Senggol at Summarecon Mall Bekasi is entering a new chapter as Hungry Playground. More than simply a change of name, the transformation marks a fresh take on the much-loved culinary festival, bringing together food, entertainment and lifestyle experiences in one lively destination.
Guided by the tagline Play More, Eat More, Hungry Playground puts equal emphasis on culinary discoveries and entertainment. No longer simply an added attraction, the entertainment programme becomes a reason in itself to visit, unwind and spend quality time with family and friends.
Set across 18,200 square metres, the event is divided into two main areas: a culinary zone, complete with a main stage, and a dedicated playground area. Food lovers can look forward to 110 food and beverage tenants from Jakarta, Bandung and Bali, serving everything from legendary local favourites and viral street food to irresistible snacks and some of today’s popular F&B brands.
Among the highlights are Gigi Susu, Klepon Gianyar Sejak 1980, Warung Babi Guling Men Malen, Toko Bubur Dibawah Pohon Rindang, Aldi’s Burger, Aldi’s Hotdog, Aldi’s Coffee, Cimory Yogurt Café, Pisang Goreng Madu Bu Nanik, Nasi Matah Blok M, Cimol Keju Barito, Donatopia, Susu Murni Bahagia, Kede Cesku, Djaya Mandiri Sejahtera, ItsFryay, Ice Honey Mak Wo, Gultik Blok M, Riche Patisserie x Briche Burger Kalkun and Laoyoo, alongside many other names bringing distinctive flavours from across Indonesia.
Adding an unexpected wintry touch to the experience, Frosty Carnival makes its debut at Summarecon Mall Bekasi. Billed as Indonesia’s first airdomed snow park experience, the attraction invites visitors to embrace the cold with ice skating, a snow playground and a jumbo ice slide. Families can continue the adventure at Jungle Kingdom by deHakims, an animal education attraction owned by celebrity Irfan Hakim.

Ugi Cahyono, Center Director of Summarecon Mall Bekasi, explained that the rebranding reflects the growing shift towards experience-driven lifestyles. At the same time, the event remains committed to supporting local culinary MSMEs and creating opportunities for businesses to reach a wider audience.
“This change does not alter our commitment to providing a platform for local culinary MSMEs to grow alongside an event that is becoming increasingly large and diverse,” he said. “This year, we are featuring 110 curated culinary tenants, including a number of businesses brought in directly from their regions of origin.”
For Summarecon Mall Apps members, the fun extends beyond food and attractions. Exclusive programmes such as Shop & Win Playground and STAR x Hungry Playground offer instant rewards, including shopping vouchers and merchandise, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. Meanwhile, those seeking a more exclusive experience can make the most of the VIP Area, offering a closer view of special artist performances.
