Offering numerous activities and a series of riveting musical performances live on stage, We The Fest 2019 once again rocked Jakarta’s entertainment scene at JIExpo Kemayoran in July. It takes a lot of energy as people continue to dance along to their favourite artists and explore every corner of the festival area. In between shows, Eats and Beats, the culinary corner at the festival is the destination where people going to fill up their energy.

With the size of crowd flooding the festival to watch more than 50 stage acts, Ismaya Live, the organiser, has established a dedicated culinary area where people can grab selection of food and beverage from Ismaya brands in fast service. Ismaya Group has put seven culinary brands at the festival including the people’s favourite choice, such as Pizza e Birra, Djournal Coffee and other brands such as Jack N Jones and Sejuice Me.

There were a number of food challenges at Eats and Beats stage to engage people with Ismaya F&B brands.

This year, Ismaya teamed up with Waste4Change to encourage waste segregation.

With ample experience of successfully running popular F&B establishments, Ismaya demonstrated comprehensive culinary management from preparation and quality control to make sure people are fed properly. Foods are served in organic and biodegradable packaging as a commitment to reduce plastic waste. This year, Ismaya teamed up with Waste4Change to encourage waste segregation. At the end of each day, the sharing kitchen is cleaned and sterilised thoroughly to avoid visitor experiencing food poisoning.

May Wiji Astuti, General Manager of Operations at Ismaya explained that food and beverage has major contribution to big scale festival and so the F&B promoters must be ready to respond to the level of demand while keeping the quality of the food.

“We always look at the history of our festivals: how big it is going to be, how many visitors are expected, how we serve it and what kind of culinary brands will be highlighted. We communicate with different event division to make sure no one goes hungry. Especially at We The Fest, culinary is experience,” Astuti added.
