North Jakarta welcomes a brand new destination where the city’s urban environment melts away and transforms into a tropical getaway. Aloha PIK is the latest themed culinary and entertainment destination in the area, featuring an authentic coastal experience and a relaxed, Hawaiian-inspired atmosphere.
Who would have thought that Jakarta residents could go on a genuinely enjoyable walk by the beach, let alone enjoy a seaside meal? Well, now they can with the latest opening at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), where the all-new Aloha PIK invites visitors to explore their coastal culinary complex, backdropped by the beautiful Java Sea.
The new compound hosts a semi-outdoor experience, where pedestrians can stroll from restaurant to restaurant, with palm-lined pathways winding around small oasis-like pools, picnic areas and benches, colourful lighting and a wholesome ‘boardwalk’ experience.
Of course, this is a dining destination and Aloha PIK has a wide range of restaurants that have already set up shop and are ready to welcome diners, including Ala Moana by Abraco Bistro & Bar, Monsieur Spoon, Hotlicks Texas BBQ & Bar, Bebek Bengil, Okinawa Sushi, Hoghock, Bornchick, Sabai-Sabai, Truffle Belly, Koppi, Sate Republik, Kokonuts Ice Cream, Hei Hei, Just Coco, Pizza NYC, and many more. So whether you’re after Balinese or Japanese, Italian or Texan, or perhaps even just a cooling ice cream for those daytime walks, Aloha PIK has it covered.
Visitors can choose the atmosphere that they’re after too, whether its one of the restaurants or cafés that look out the beach and shoreline; or find one of the more intimate restaurants in the square, where the tropical landscaping and naturally-inclined architecture still set the scene of a little paradise, with the sea breeze blowing gently through.
A children’s playground at the edge of the destination delivers fun and games with a swimming pool, slides, a ball pool, a playhouse, and more. Visitors can bring their floaties or purchase swimming facilities from an on-site store. Moreover, parents can also buy tickets to supervise their kids at the playground.
For those dusk hours, the coastline does actually witness a tinge of sunset on the horizon of the Java Sea, promising a special moment as evening arrives. Take a leisurely stroll along the beachfront promenade or enjoy the panoramic views out to sea, before exploring the plethora of tenants.
Aloha PIK is open daily from 10am -10pm (Monday-Thursday); 10am-12pm (Friday); 7am-12pm (Saturday); and 7am-10pm (Sunday).
