After a five-year absence from the capital, The Cellardoor Jakarta has reopened in Pondok Indah, finally bringing Hatten Winery’s full portfolio back under one roof. Officially opened on 29 July 2026, the new space gives Jakarta drinkers somewhere to taste, compare and learn about Indonesian wines and spirits as Hatten Wines marks its 32nd anniversary.

The Cellardoor previously operated in Jakarta before closing temporarily in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its return comes as PT Hatten Bali Tbk looks back on more than three decades of winemaking, from developing wines with grapes grown in Bali to expanding its portfolio across several labels and styles.

That history now has a physical showcase in the capital. Visitors can explore Hatten Wines, made using Bali-grown grapes; Two Islands Wines and Two Islands Reserve, produced from Australian grapes and vinified in Bali; the easy-drinking Dragonfly Wines; and Arak & Brem Bali Dewi Sri, whose traditional spirits heritage dates back to 1968.

Wine tastings are at the centre of the experience, but there is no need to worry about arriving without knowing your tannins from your terroir. Here, guests can sample different styles, ask the team for bottle recommendations, compare labels and pick up a few useful pointers on winemaking and food pairing along the way. For those who already know what they like, the wider portfolio is gathered conveniently in one place. For the newer drinkers, The Cellardoor offers a more approachable starting point for exploring wine without getting too tangled up in the terminology.

There’s another addition to the Two Islands Wines portfolio, the Fine Tawny, launched in June 2026 and now available at the Cellardoor Jakarta. Made from South Australian Shiraz, Grenache, Tempranillo and Muscat, then matured for an average of five years using a traditional Selora system, the Port-style wine brings notes of caramel, dried fruit, toasted nuts, orange peel and cocoa. This new release adds a sweet fortified option to the Two Islands range, alongside its sparkling, white, rosé and red selections.

At 18 per cent ABV, Fine Tawny is intended for slower sipping, you can pair it with chocolate desserts and cheese or poured after dinner, and it makes for an interesting place to start if you are browsing the Cellardoor with something new in mind!

The reopening also gives Haten a dedicated home in Jakarta outside of the hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and retailers. “The return of The Cellardoor Jakarta is a special moment for all of us,” said Ida Bagus Rai Budarsa, President Director of PT Hatten Bali Tbk. He described the venue as a place for customers to taste the wines, understand the stories behind the brands and receive personal recommendations for different occasions.

Hatten Wines was established in Bali more than three decades ago and has built its identity around local winemaking alongside continued experimentation with grape varieties, production methods and wine experiences. Its 32nd anniversary celebrates three themes – Pioneer, Innovation and Legacy – which the company is carrying into its next phase.

The Cellardoor Jakarta is now open from Sunday to Friday, 10am to 8pm.
