Every year, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, Japan celebrates Sakura season. An important tradition on the country’s calendar of events, Sakura season usually is enjoyed through many outdoor activities, such as gathering with family and friends in the park, sitting beneath the trees, sharing food and having a good conversation.

To welcome Sakura season, Gran Melia Jakarta has something special in store this year: at its Japanese restaurant Yoshi Izakaya, diners can enjoy the Spring Sakura Set Menu between March 13 and April 9, available at Rp. 1,050,000++. It includes imported Australian Wagyu served with chicken, Kobe beef, U.S. sirloin or tenderloin and is a popular dish in Japan, as the meat is low in fat and calories, but high in protein.

Yoshi Izakaya has long been a favourite among Jakartans who have a soft spot for Chef Tomoaki Ito’s delightful culinary creations. The restaurant includes a spacious dining room, a Sake bar and lounge, two Teppanyaki counters and two tatami semi private rooms.
