Disciples Escoffier Indonesia  presented Escoffier Week Jakarta, with great programmes including Dinner dÉpicure as its annual tradition. 

Disciples Escoffier Indonesia celebrated Escoffier Week Jakarta for the second time, in November with this year’s event to honour  Chef Gulliaume Gomez, Personal Representative of French President Emmanuel Macron and the visit of Christian Heulin, General Secretary of Disciples Escoffier International. 

The Disciples Escoffier International (DEI) is a non-profit culinary organisation with more than 30,000 members in 47 countries. The association, which has been established since 1954, functions to promote August Escoffier’s values, through introductions to cuisine, culinary events for the public, and culinary competitions for young chefs. These various activities were carried out to honour Escoffier for his successful efforts to introduce French gastronomy globally.

The 3-day extravaganza event started on 3rd November by a Cocktail at La Residence de France, where H.E. Olivier Chambard, French Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste welcomed Chef Guillaume Gomez, Christian Heulin, and Thierry Muller, General Treasurer of Disciples Escoffier International Asia Pacific. 

On the next day the programme continued to visit Academy of Pastry and Culinary Arts and Semaii (organic micro green and urban farming) in Serpong. In the afternoon, Disciples Escoffier Indonesia Chapter held the induction of its new members in a special ceremony with Chef Guillaume Gomez, Christian Heuline, Thierry Muller and Chef Gilles Marx as the President of Disciples Escoffier Indonesia at Artoz Whisky Bar. The induction ceremony followed by a book signing before Le Diner D’Epicure as the main event take place. 

For Le Diner D’Epicure presented a collaboration dinner with seven Seasoned Disciples Escoffier Chefs: Vindex Tengker, Ronald Silvano, Stefu Santoso, Patrese Vito, Louis Tanuhadi, Fransisca Tamba, and Gilles Marz who were preparing a one off seven course Gala Dinner including wine pairing at Artoz Whisky Bar for Diner D’Epicure Coctail and at Amuz Gourmet for dinner. 

Through this event, Disciples Escoffier Indonesia also support Yayasan Komunitas Ambiente by giving parts of diner’s proceeds to support the Agats, a region in Papua.
