This November, The Westin Jakarta’s signature restaurant Seasonal Tastes brings the flavours of Spain to its diners. The hotel has specially flown in Chef Chabe Soler, known for her authentic and classic Spanish dishes to be served during dinner and weekend brunch through Flavours of España.
In the last 15 years, Chef Chabe has worked in three restaurants in Valencia, including La Ferrera, Danubio Alameda, and Pata Negra Restaurant. A notable accolade of this fine chef is being the winner of a specialised competition, the World Paella Day Cup 2020! So, diners can expect a superb rendition of this classic Spanish rice dish. Chef Chabe was also in-charge of a research and development project on brown rice as an ambassador for a well-known rice brand in Spain, in addition to leading La Salita restaurant, a one Michelin Guide star and two soles Guia Repsol restaurant.
In her cooking, Chef Chabe combines traditional recipes with aesthetics and modern techniques. Special for Flavours of España, she will show her skill in cooking classic Spanish cuisine, such as the most famous Spanish dish of all Paella which originates from the region around Valencia. Another great example of the diversity of Spanish food culture is Tapas, also included to be displayed on the restaurant’s buffet table.
Complementing the Spanish culinary delights, Seasonal Tastes also showcases Spain’s renowned wine, such as Marqués de Riscal and Gramona Gessami.
Flavours of España is available from 8 to 30 November, priced at IDR 588,00++ per person during dinner buffet on weekdays and IDR 608,00++ per person during brunch and dinner on weekends.
