Art enthusiasts and music lovers are in for a treat as the PITA Showroom at the Sequis Center Building opens its doors for a unique cultural experience. The highly anticipated event, scheduled to start at 05.00 PM on 25 May 2024 promises a captivating evening of wind orchestra performances brought to you by the Jakarta Japan Wind Orchestra (Orkes Tiup Jakarta Jepang / OTJJ). Initially started with 10 Japanese members, OTJJ now has around 30 members, with Indonesian personnels, all actively participating in events concerts and exchanges with other musical groups in the capital.
Concurrent with the orchestra, renowned artist Sasya Tranggono will be showcasing her latest collection on her solo exhibition “From Jakarta with Love” at the PITA Showroom, Sequis Center Building. This art showcase will feature 25 enthralling paintings that celebrate Javanese culture, with a particular emphasis on Wayang. In addition to her vibrant canvases, Sasya introduces three-dimensional art pieces incorporating butterflies crafted from beads, shells, and stones, reflecting her dedication to blending tradition with creativity.
The exhibition will run from 25 May to 15 June 2024, providing ample opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage and innovative artistry that Sasya brings to life. Entrance gate will open at 04.30 PM, while the event starts at 05.00 PM, with free admission and required reservations.
