This May, Liu Li Palace Seafood Restaurant marks the Dragon Boat Festival with a scrumptious line of menus starting from 1-31 May 2025. The restaurant will bring this cherished Chinese tradition to life with a curated selection of signature zongzi, offering guests the chance to celebrate heritage through taste.
For those new to the festival, zongzi are glutinous rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves, this is a staple for the celebration that symbolises family, remembrance, and unity. At Liu Li Palace, these humble parcels were elevated into culinary gems.
The menu featured three standout creations. The Liu Li Traditional Rice Dumpling (IDR 89,800++) paid homage to classic flavours with a hearty filling of salted egg, pork belly (samcan), shiitake mushrooms, and beans. For diners craving something bolder, the Rice Dumpling with Chicken and XO Sauce (IDR 69,800++) delivered a rich, savoury kick, balancing tender chicken with the umami depth of XO sauce. A thoughtful touch for plant-based diners came in the form of the Vegetarian Rice Dumpling (IDR 69,800++), filled with sweet corn, shiitake, peas, and tofu skin; this is a lighter, yet no less satisfying option.

Beyond the festival, Liu Li Palace continues to offer its Taste of Liu Li Lunch Set Menu, available on weekdays from 11.30 am to 03.00 pm, until the end of December 2025. Designed for the working crowd and discerning diners alike, these sets bring together signature Chinese dishes in four curated options. Each set includes a comforting line-up: soup of the day, marinated cucumber with garlic, stir-fried baby bok choy, and a daily dessert.
Main courses are where the choices get exciting. From the crispy Deep-Fried Chicken with Lemon Sauce to the indulgent Stir-Fried Beef with Oyster Sauce, and even the more refined Truffle Oil Sautéed Mushrooms, there’s a dish to suit every mood. Seafood lovers are not left behind with options like Deep-Fried Prawns with Salted Egg. Prices start at an inviting IDR 108,000++ per person, offering genuine value without compromising on quality.
