Plush, grand and fully stocked, the newly renovated ARTOZ Bar welcomes late-night imbibers into their vintage-inspired venue, home to Jakarta’s largest whisky & cognac collection.
Certainly an old favourite, especially for patrons of neighbour and sister restaurant AMUZ Gourmet, ARTOZ has reemerged from its full makeover to present a space that guests will surely want to sink into. Its new interiors are, as mentioned, plush, with ‘comfort’ definitely on the design brief for the reinvention.
Like an homage to classic whisky bars around the world, ARTOZ has vintage inspirations, with light fixtures, accoutrements and wall displays certainly harkening back to bygone eras. Yet, with its striking colour scheme of reds and royal blues, it quickly gives a contemporary twist to the style. Either way, it’s a sophisticated space to meet and mingle.
You’re invited to take a seat in the dining room, lounge, or bar and for more secluded soirees, one of the two private rooms or cordoned off VIP section. ARTOZ has a capacity of up to 80 people, giving the room a great bar ‘buzz’, but the sink-in velvet chairs and sofas are spaciously placed throughout the venue for intimate group gatherings.
Now, for the drinks. ARTOZ’s pride and glory stand upon the shelves behind the bar: 100 different varieties of single malt and blended whisky, as well as a large collection of cognac and Armagnac. These are, of course, best enjoyed straight or on the rocks, but for those who love themselves a cocktail can trust the mixologists to shake up a Classic or Signature libation. The wine list is also superb, as one can expect from the AMUZ Gourmet affiliation, and premium cigars are on offer for the perfect whisky pairing.
If you’re in for more than a drink., ARTOZ has a curated menu of tapas, gourmet sandwiches and char-grilled specialities. Selections include Tuna Carpaccio Salad, Salmon Steak to Black Angus Tenderloin and Roasted Wagyu Beef Brioche Sandwich, for example. For something more substantial, the AMUZ Gourmet menu is also available to order.
Not to be missed are the venue’s weekly entertainment schedule, offering live music from Tuesday to Friday: Bossanova Jazzcoustic, Jazz jamming session with Oelle Pattiselano, R&B up Beat 80’s 90’s, Billboard Top 40’s.
Located in The Energy Building, in the bustling SCBD, ARTOZ is the apt after-work destination, open 4 PM – 11 PM from Monday to Friday. Lookout for their new entrance, a hulking vintage door, painted dark blue – your portal to a Whisky wonderland.
