DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta’s popular casual dining venue, Sea Grain Restaurant & Bar, invites guests to experience their newly launched menu featuring an array of unique fusion dishes merging Western cuisine with an Indonesian touch.

The hotel’s Chef de Cuisine, Rendy Reynaldi, has curated this smorgasbord of tempting new dishes, now gracing the menu at Sea Grain Restaurant and Bar. 

Well-known for its steak and grill selection, the restaurant introduces Brandy Steak, a 250-gram premium rib-eye grilled to perfection, served with roasted tomato, baby carrot and hand-cut fries made from Cilembu sweet potato of West Java fame. Experience is everything and so for every Brandy Steak, Chef Rendy will visit each guest’s table to personally flambé their steak with a special brandy sauce, adding a delicious smoky flavour to their succulent meat.

For seafood lovers, the Salted Baked Sea Bass is another experiential dish. The baked fish comes encased with a crust of sea salt, which is broken open by the chef at the guest’s table, unveiling the delicately flavoured fish inside. This comes served with creamed spinach and boiled pandan butter potato, as well as a cream woku sauce from North Sulawesi.

That’s not all. Sea Grain presents new appetisers and snacks as well on their updated menu, including: Roasted Bone Marrow, half-cut Australian bone marrow on the plate with beef maranggi and rendang mayonnaise; Escargot Vol au Vent mixed with a delectable balado butter – a local sauce from West Sumatera; and a Steak Tartare, with fresh wagyu tenderloin and locally-sourced sweet potato chips on the side. 

“The team and I have curated a special menu selection with new flavours and new ingredients,” said Chef Rendy Reynaldi. “We are excited to welcome our guests and present an elevated and engaging dining experience at Sea Grain Restaurant & Bar.”

By the bar, guests can take a sip of their new signature cocktails as well. Have a taste of Sea Grain Cosmo Banana, offering an aroma of sweet Ambon banana and cranberry. For a more refreshing option, the Margarita Kecombrang presents a rich sour taste with a hint of orange. Added with local element, the splash of kecombrang gives a nice, floral finish.

Located on the hotel’s third floor, the restaurant welcomes diners into a sleek and stylish space. The elegant indoor area presents a chic, minimalist design, with views that open up to the surrounding city scenes; whilst the semi-outdoor spaces offer a place to unwind with a fresh, light breeze. Those who are looking for more exclusive settings can opt for one of the two private dining rooms available.
