The seminar at SGS Academy, a purpose built teaching facility, was attended by 30 participants, MVB members and companies from various industries. SGS Indonesia Managing Director, Shashibhushan Jogani opened the seminar and welcomed all participants to the SGS Academy and introduced Pantja Nugraha as the main speaker of the seminar.

Alistair Speirs, Chairman of MVB then gave his opening remarks and explained the background of why Sustainability Reporting is needed by all companies.

Pantja Nugraha as Product Manager Registered Lead Auditor of SGS Indonesia then made his presentation on Sustainability Reporting and ISO 26000.

Sustainability Reporting has become compulsory for publicly listed and financial services companies according to the agreement no. 51/POJK03/2017 published by the Financial Services Authority of Indonesia, and since then every listed company needs detailed knowledge and information on how to create the report and how it can best be used.

Sustainability Reporting has several types based on the GRI definition: it can be part of an Annual Report, it can be an independent Sustainability Report, it can be included as part of the companies CSR and it can also be presented in limited scope that only describes certain specific subjects (eg. Environment or Social only).

The seminar ended with a short presentation about MVB by Alistair Speirs and the new MVB programme for 2019 which include series of seminars and initiatives led by MVB and fully supported by MVB Knowledge Partners, including SGS Indonesia.
