Celebrating the good and stable trade relationship between New Zealand and Indonesia, the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise returns with its second food product exhibition to promote the country’s high quality food and beverage products to the Indonesian market. With the tagline “Taste Quality”, the Taste New Zealand exhibition this year takes place at Ranch Market and Farmers Market outlets throughout Indonesia until 15 June.

The exhibition was opened on 19 May by the Ambassador of New Zealand to Indonesia, H.E. Trevor Matheson at Ranch Market Pondok Indah. The Ambassador said that the value of New Zealand’s export to Indonesia has reached NZ$ 548 million in 2016, 42% out of which were dairy products, while the overall food and beverage exports represented 65,3%. Catering to these demands, the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise seeks to introduce more food and beverage products of New Zealand in Indonesia.

Through this promotion, Indonesians can taste the delicacy of New Zealand’s products that are identical with freshness, premium value and best quality. The event also follows the customers’ trend among Indonesians, who are increasingly looking for New Zealand’s premium products to be consumed on a daily basis.

Many urban communities in Indonesia’s big cities are already familiar with some of New Zealand’s food and beverage products such as Anchor and Tatua dairy products, Whittaker’s chocolate, Airborne Honey, premium beef cut Alliance and frozen vegetables Wattie’s. This event gives them the opportunity to shop for their favourite products, especially during the holy month of Ramadhan where breaking the fast with family and friends is customary.

During the Taste New Zealand exhibition, customers also have the chance to buy fresh fruits, specifically apples – Royal Gala, Pacific Rose, Jazz, Ambrosia, Envy, Sonya and Kiku – as well as kiwi, figs and New Zealand’s unique fruit feijoa.

To increase the excitement of the programme even further, customers have the opportunity to join in the fun through competitions and giveaways. Everybody who makes a purchase above IDR 250,000 will receive the “Taste New Zealand” environmental friendly shopping bag and get a chance to win a trip to New Zealand for two persons. Additionally, there will be a couple of competitions on the social media platforms.
