In celebration of the nation’s rich musical heritage, the Jakarta Concert Orchestra, under the direction of Avip Priatna—conductor and music director—proudly presents a special concert entitled "8 Decades of Indonesian Music" (8 Dekade Musik Indonesia), as part of the Symphony for the Nation (Simfoni Untuk Bangsa) series.

In celebration of the nation’s rich musical heritage, the Jakarta Concert Orchestra, under the direction of conductor and music director Avip Priatna, presents “8 Decades of Indonesian Music” (8 Dekade Musik Indonesia). Taking place on Saturday, 2 August 2025 at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki, the concert is part of the Symphony for the Nation (Simfoni Untuk Bangsa) series.

Starting 7.30 PM, audiences will be taken on a sweeping musical journey, from legendary names to contemporary voices, through majestic and emotionally stirring orchestral arrangements. The evening will feature iconic works by the most celebrated Indonesian composers from 1945 to 2025, reflecting the historical journey, spirit of resilience, patriotism, and the diverse modern identity of Indonesia.

Led by maestro Avip Priatna, the Jakarta Concert Orchestra will bring new life to timeless pieces by Ismail Marzuki, Ibu Sud, Bing Slamet, Bimbo, Koes Plus, Rhoma Irama, Titiek Puspa, Guruh Soekarnoputra, Chrisye, Elfa Secioria, Kahitna, Project Pop, Sheila on 7, Nidji, and more. The concert will also feature performances by Batavia Madrigal Singers, The Resonanz Children’s Choir, Armonia Choir, Isyana Sarasvati (soprano) and Farman Purnama (tenor).
