Following an extensive six-month renovation, Toscana is now poised to extend a warm welcome to its guests with a stunning aesthetic transformation, introduction of a talented new chef, and a completely revitalised menu upholding Italian traditions.
Entering the newly revamped Toscana, guests will quickly see and feel the new modern aesthetic. Upon entry the sophisticated bar and pizza bar now stand at the centre of the restaurant, embellished by an eclectic hanging light fixture. The once iconic exposed brick walls have made way for new light blue and slate colour palate, brightening the space and complementing the rich wooden accents. It feels spacious, light and cosy.
Toscana Cucina Italiana’s new dishes transcends the more staple fare of pasta and wood-fired pizzas. The young Executive Chef Akmal joined forces with Toscana’s legendary Chef Mario de Carlini to create a wide-ranging Italian menu from dry-aged bistecca to and assortment of seafood specialities.
Some must-try dishes include the ‘Tonno Bellavista’, tuna belly confit with avocado puree topped with stem capers; ‘Livornese’, linguine, fresh tuna loin confit seared Hokkaido scallop, baby squid topped with premium housemade breadcrumbs; ‘Dry Aged Striploin’, Australian grain-fed black agung MB4+ (30 days), cannellini beans served with green peppercorn sauce; and Tiramisu.
“Italian culture has always been centered around family and gathering. The new Toscana is designed to provide an inviting and comfortable atmosphere, mirroring our cuisine’s light and breezy nature,” shares Hasan Masyhur, General Manager of Toscana.
