When it comes to festivities, every detail plays a part: who is taking part, what the celebration offers, where and when it unfolds, and how the hotel brings it all together for its guests. At 25hours Hotel The Oddbird in SCBD Jakarta, the answer reveals itself through community, creativity, and a hint of mischief that has coloured every month since its opening on 22 November 2024.
In just twelve months, The Oddbird has grown into a space where guests sleep, eat, dance, paint, swim, and occasionally stumble upon a moment that feels entirely unexpected. The hotel launched with a lively April 2025 Grand Opening that began at the Jakarta Ballroom during the Monocle Chief Conference before spilling into a block-style celebration. Sunset at the pool. DJs on rotation. A headline set by Dipha Barus & Afgan. The tone was set early, come as you are, leave with a story.

Across its first year, The Oddbird leaned into Jakarta’s contrasts, from its rush, its restlessness, its flashes of quiet to the carved out corners for creativity and play. Art exhibitions with Rato, Muklay, and Lala Bohang lined its walls. COPA and Cabana shaped their own culinary identity through distinctive moments and flavours. Wellness and music programmes invited visitors to reset. The Oddbird’s community partnerships became a signature with its limited-edition desserts and mugs with LovePink supported breast cancer awareness; collaborations with the Plastic Fischer Foundation encouraged guests to join river-cleaning efforts by opting out of room servicing; and sessions with Volvo and ON Cloud brought movement and wellbeing to the fore. The hotel’s approach earned recognition with Tatler Indonesia naming it Best New Hotel, alongside nominations from the DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2026 and AHEAD Asia 2025. It was a year defined not by routine but by rhythm.
As the anniversary approached, The Oddbird rolled out the Road to The Odd Fair, a playful build-up stitched together through movement, music, food, and art. The festivities began with a city run hosted by Fullsend Running Community and One% on 16 November, bringing together guests and locals in a morning that celebrated motion and community spirit. Two days later, Oddbird Bar turned into a tequila-led playground through a bar takeover with Coracho by Carden Faramaz, with guest talents from Ferri’s Tokyo Bar and Coracho adding their own flair to the evening. On 19 November, Hard13 splashed Grab&Go with graffiti and colour, shifting the daily rhythm of the lobby into something loud, bold, and unmistakably urban.

Celebrations will grow richer on 22 November as Chef Hugo Bertolini joins COPA’s Executive Chef Matias Mardones for a four-hands Latin-inspired buffet accompanied by live music that carries through the space. The same day, guests will be invited into a quieter sanctuary through Reiki and guided meditation led by VIDA Spa, offering balance amid the celebrations. As evening fslldl, Oddbird Bar transformed once more, this time with the warm rise of jazz and cocktails for a more relaxed anniversary night.
The next day will bring the Un-Odd Sunday Brunch, a generous spread by Chef Hugo Bertolini and a Buy 3 Get 4 treats to close the weekend on a convivial note. Running throughout the anniversary period was the A One-derful Escape offer, with 25% off stays from 22 November to 31 March—a reason, or excuse, for a quick city break.
The Odd Fair itself gathers everything The Oddbird has stood for since opening with lively moments, open doors, shared experiences, and a willingness to embrace whatever unfolds. Food, music, art, and playful surprises fill the space over one dedicated weekend, marking the close of a year shaped by curiosity, spontaneity, and joy.
