IFI Films: La Fameuse invasion des ours en Sicile

The Institut Français Indonésie (IFI) once again presents IFI Films, a monthly screening programme showcasing a selection of French films across diverse genres. Screenings take place at the IFI Thamrin Auditorium, offering audiences a chance to explore the richness of French cinema on the big screen.

One of the featured films this September is La Fameuse invasion des ours en Sicile (The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily), directed by Lorenzo Mattotti. This 2019 animated film tells the story of King Léonce and his bears as they descend from the mountains after the kidnapping of his son, Tonio. What unfolds is a colorful tale that blends adventure with allegory, touching on themes of power, courage, and identity.

The film will be screened on 23 September 2025 at 7 PM, with French and English subtitles. Tickets are FREE for IFI Card members and IDR 20k for non-members.
