From relaxed lunch with friends to Chinese New Year dinner with extended family, Canton 108 Senayan City was designed for full tables, where comforting Cantonese dishes are passed around generously, and meals always conclude with same note: ‘We should do this again soon!’

Whilst situated inside of Senayan City, the restaurant sets itself apart from the bustle of the mall, where a short corridor invites guests into their colourful, curated spaces. The restaurant is vibrant and contemporary: burnt-orange banquettes line the curving walls, terrazzo floors and abstract art pieces juxtaposed against lantern-style fixtures. It’s an authentic Chinese restaurant for the aesthetically-inclined, somewhere both young and old generations would be keen to dine.

Of course, that’s precisely what Chinese food is about: bringing the generations together. At Canton 108 Senayan City such occasions are made possible with large tables that accommodate an abundance of both dishes and diners. Private rooms, each with their own unique design, can host groups of up to 30, be it birthday luncheons, sangjit events to traditional get togethers.

The menu at Canton 108 equally accommodates to groups, with a wide range of favourite Cantonese cuisine from dim sum to seafood, steaks to comforting rice and noodle dishes. Whilst the dishes keep firmly to their canonical, Cantonese roots, they are presented with a modern touch.

Star dishes on the menu include some modern interpretations, like the 1kg Whiskey Flamed “Char Siu” US Bone-in Beef Short Ribs, or their 14-day dry-aged Whole Roasted Duck, also from their Hong Kong Barbecue selection. For the traditionalists, the comfort favourites are also to be found, from steamed and fried Coral Grouper, to the authentic Beggar’s Chicken cooked in lotus leaf and baked clay, and of course a wide selection of dim sum to choose from.

Canton 108 Senayan City has its very own signature dishes, only to be found at this location, including: Shredded Beef with Sticky Peking Sauce, Crystal Grouper Dumpling with Fish Roe, and Swan Dumpling with Wok-Fried Duck.

The desserts are classic, but a standout dish is the Almond Tauhua, cool and soothing, while drinks such as the Jade Dew Melon or Luo Han Guo with dried longan add on a refreshing touch in between or after bites.

Operated by Artisan Kuliner Group, Canton 108 Senayan City is the latest location of this popular brand, with another location in ASTHA District 8, which offers a no-pork, no-lard menu, and also at Batavia PIK, where the complete menu is available.
