Christmas is a time for coming home, sharing cherished traditions and being close to the people we love. For children growing up far from their families and hometowns, the festive season can bring a special longing for home and togetherness. This Christmas, ARYADUTA Hotels hopes to bring that spirit closer to a group of children.

Currently studying in SLH Moria, Lippo Karawaci, a group of children from Papua are a long way from home. They are part of a special programme – organised by Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan (YPH Papua) and Yayasan Lentera Membangun Bangsa (YLMB) – providing educational support and new opportunities. ARYADUTA invited them to answer a simple question: “What does Christmas mean to you?”

They answered through drawings, personal memories and heartfelt memories. Abiro Busup depicts the warmth of family gathering in a traditional Honai; Evan Sub recalls celebrating Christmas both in the city and in his village. Asedi Iyapa, meanwhile, expresses her longing for her mother in Papua, a feeling that becomes especially poignant during a season centred on family.

These touching illustrations feature in ARYADUTA Hotels’ Christmas 2026 festive collection, from their exclusive merchandise to festive hampers and limited-edition in-room amenities. More than just a festive gesture, proceeds from the collection will support the on-going efforts of the charitable organisations, YPH Papua and YLMB.

“Christmas is a time when we are reminded of the importance of togetherness, gratitude, and giving. Through this collaboration, we hope to share those values in a way that creates a meaningful impact for the children and our guests,” said Theo Teja, Chief Operating Officer, ARYADUTA Hotels.

While the representative, Ir. Nursari D. Lugito, M.Pd., Head of Fundraising and Social Outreach of Yayasan Lentera Membangun Bangsa, stated, “We believe every child deserves the opportunity to go to school and develop their talents and potential. Our collaboration with ARYADUTA is a wonderful way to celebrate the creativity of Papuan children while sharing their stories with a wider audience. We hope this initiative will inspire more partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for a brighter future for the children of Papua.”

Through this initiative, ARYADUTA Hotels celebrates the true spirit of Christmas: kindness, connection and generosity. The children’s stories are a reminder that the season is about more than gifts and decorations; it is about bringing people closer and helping young dreams flourish.
