In my opinion, Italian restaurants in Indonesia seem to be divided into two, the ones that use original recipes and cooking methods as in the home country, and those that try to combine local flavours with a cuisine that is well adapted to the Indonesian palate. At Uccello, guests are sure to enjoy authentic Italian food in ways that are relatable.

Those who love Italian cuisine can add Uccello Italian Grill Restaurant and Bar, a new fine dining restaurant located on the third floor of Kuningan City, to their rotation of restaurants. Thanks to its location, guests can take in the breathtaking view of city’s skyscrapers while enjoying its signature food along with classic cocktails curated by Chef Roberto Fiorini.

A grill house, Uccello offers a selection of different cuts of meat, from farm and sea. The restaurant uses a Japanese charcoal grill to get that special taste. Besides the Bistecca ala Fiorentina that is cooked at the table which is a good option for sharing and other menu with Australian Black Angus or Canadian lobster. Diners can begin their journey with Octopus that is grilled with spices like bell pepper spicy sauce, fried garlic and shallot powder and rice crispies as topping served with mashed potatoes. Another option is Calamari which is plated beautifully,  where baby squid is grilled to perfection and served with creamy spinach and sprinkled with garlic chips. The garlic flavour combined with savoury squid is perfect.

While pasta is the star of an Italian restaurant, Uccello presents homemade pastas produced from its special station that are certainly worthy of stardom! Diners can watch staff making it from scratch right until the boiling process. Try Tortelli al Fontina e Noci, Salsa al Tartufo, Spinaci Croccanti. The tortelloni pasta cooked with montasio cheese, walnut and truffle sauce with crunchy spinach as additional element.

For healthier alternatives, try Tagliatelle Di Spinaci Con Fungi Arrostiti E Salsa Al Prezzmelo is a good recommendation. It’s tagliatelle pasta made from green spinach served with crispy mushroom and parsley sauce.

Don’t miss the Crunchy Cannoli for dessert. Crispy rolls of pastry dough filled with sweet ricotta served with chocolate, orange zest and also pistachios. Other options are Chocolate Lava Cake and Tiramisu which are presented in different styles where of all ingredients are served separately in a bowl.
