Since the inception of the first centre in 1994 in Jakarta, Kinderland Indonesia has educated over 20,000 children across the archipelago. The academic year 2024-2025 marks its 30th anniversary.
Shortly within 10 years of its establishment, students from four of Kinderland Jakarta preschools took stage at a gala musical production. Entitled ‘Amelia’, the concert marked Kinderland’s 10th anniversary in Indonesia. The presentation received the MURI Award of Indonesia for involving maximum number of preschoolers in a stage show.

The established Singapore preschool brand was first brought to Indonesia, Jakarta by a farsighted female entrepreneur, Mrs Seemun Suprano. Mrs Suparno started her journey in the field of education with the heart of a mother while looking for the right preschool for her eldest child.
In 2009, Kinderland Indonesia celebrated its 15th anniversary with the theme ‘Go, Grow and Glow’ in addressing sustainability. Conscious efforts were made to spread awareness and to instill values of protecting our environment among the young students. With that movement, seven Kinderland Jakarta centers came together to plant saplings at Ragunan Zoo on 19 February 2009.

That year, another monumental event took place at the National Monument of Indonesia, Monas where ‘a family cycling day’ was held involving children and their families decorating their bicycles and cycling around Monas. In the same year, Kinderland, along with the ‘Hope Foundation’, launched Gerobak Pintar, a smart library on wheels to provide literacy to the poor and underprivileged children. Since 2009, Kinderland has launched four gerobaks in Jakarta communities.
In 2014, Kinderland Jakarta added another feather to its cap to mark Kinderland Indonesia’s 20 years of excellence. During this event, children from five Kinderland centers came together to display their artwork at the National Museum of Indonesia along with some dances and musical performances to showcase Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage.

With an innate love for early education and servicing the younger generations, Kinderland remains true and committed to delivering the best educational services. In the past three decades, Kinderland Indonesia has touched the lives of many young children and their families, wherein it is set to mark its 30th anniversary in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah on 15 November 2025.
