COPA restaurant at 25hours Hotel Jakarta is bringing the Andes straight to the city through their collaboration with the Embassy of Chile, celebrating the country’s Independence Day with a two-week programme of food, wine, and culture that transports diners straight to the streets of Santiago and the Chilean coast.
From now until 21 September 2025, guests can enjoy daily Chilean specials paired with award-winning Montes Alpha wines, one of Chile’s most celebrated wineries credited with putting the country on the global wine map. It’s an experience that goes beyond flavour, weaving together tradition, craftsmanship, and story.
Throughout the celebration, Executive Chef Matias Mardones will present comforting favourites from his homeland which include pastel de choclo, hand-folded empanadas, smoky parrillada grills, anticucho skewers, and vibrant camarones al pil-pil. Each dish is designed to be both authentic and approachable so that guests can explore Chilean cooking in its truest form.
The centrepiece of the programme is Andes to COPA: A Chilean Feast, an exclusive six-course dinner held on Thursday, 18 September 2025. From 6 PM onwards, guests will embark on a culinary journey across Chile’s diverse landscapes, paired with carefully selected Montes Alpha wines and opened with a classic Pisco Sour. At IDR 1,250,000++ per person, this one-night-only event is a balance of indulgence and cultural storytelling.
For Chef Mardones, the occasion is more than a showcase of technique, but also a personal journey. “Cooking for Chile Week is personal to me. It is about flavours as much as it is about sharing emotions and memories from my home country. I want our guests to feel Chile with every bite and every sip,” he says.
Set on the 8th floor of 25hours Hotel Jakarta, COPA is known for its Latin American-inspired menu, wood-fired meats, fresh ceviche, and colourful interiors. With communal tables and the lush COPA Garden, the restaurant offers a lively setting that mirrors the warmth of Latin culture, making it the perfect backdrop for this Chilean celebration.
