On 22 and 23 July 2023, the revered Cantonese restaurant Li Feng at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, invites guests to experience the visually stunning creations of Chef Fei, the distinguished Two Michelin Starred chef of ‘Jiang by Chef Fei’ at the Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou.
During this exclusive, two-day culinary event, Chef Fei will take guests through a meticulously crafted, 7-course menu, available for lunch and dinner, showcasing the finest flavours of Cantonese cuisine. In fact, it is Chef Fei who curated the highly-coveted menu at Li Feng, recently updated in February 2023, so this limited-time dining experience is an opportunity to taste and witness the creations of the master himself.
Li Feng Restaurant is known for the impressively delicate presentation of its dishes, most famously their signature ‘Swan Dumplings’, transforming their authentic Cantonese fare into works of art. Patrons can expect to see and savour new innovations during this one-of-a-kind culinary journey.
A Lunch and Dinner signature set menu will be available over the two days. Both menus will feature the chef’s ‘Signature Platter’ of Marinated Cherry Radish with Vinegar Sauce, Chilled Jelly Fish Jelly and Japanese Scallop with Snow Peas; as well as the ‘Braised Crab Meat with Winter Melon Soup’. The mains will showcase a delectable serving of ‘Pan-Fried Wagyu Beef with Lemon Himalayan Salt’ and ‘Foie Gras Fried Rice with Sergestid Shrimps’. The Lunch mains include a ‘Stir Fried King Prawn with Teochew Preserved Radish’.
On the Dinner menu , Chef Fei brings a special ingredient to the table: Poached Canadian Geoduck. Known for its delicate taste and exquisite texture, this premium ingredient will be transformed into a masterpiece on the plate. Both menus will finish with signature dessert creations of ‘Sweet Red Bean Soup with Aged Tangerine Peel’ and ‘Baked Onion Cheese Beef Tart’
Guests attending the lunch and dinner sessions will be given a space to meet, converse, and even take photos with the culinary master himself. Chef Fei’s hospitality extends beyond his kitchen skills and is known for his warmth and welcoming nature, sharing culinary stories and insights with his guests. As a token of appreciation, attendees will also receive a signed menu to bring home as a cherished memento.
The Lunch Set Menu is priced at IDR 1.388.000++ per person; the Dinner Set Menu is priced at IDR 1.888.000++ per person.
