The Gaia Hotel Bandung celebrated its fifth anniversary with a touch of fashion, inviting guests to enjoy an evening that went beyond the usual birthday festivities. Held on Sunday, 1 November 2026, “Work In Style” featured fashion, cocktails and creative activities, with Indonesian designers ANS.EIN and Auguste Soesastro of KRATON joining the celebration.
One of the evening’s highlights came from ANS.EIN, whose take on wearable art combines contemporary style with everyday practicality. Its fashion showcase explored clothing that is expressive yet easy to incorporate into daily wardrobes. Guests could also get involved themselves through a DIY T-shirt activity, which followed the presentation alongside cocktails.
The evening had another fashion moment in store. Auguste Soesastro presented a preview of the new uniforms he has designed for The Gaia Hotel Bandung. Scheduled for launch in 2027, the collection brings his interpretation of Indonesian artistry and traditional craftsmanship into the hotel’s daily operations. Through KRATON, Auguste gives cultural references a contemporary expression, and this latest project takes his work into a different setting.
The fashion collaborations also offer a glimpse into what has informed The Gaia Hotel Bandung’s identity over the past five years. From its architecture and interiors to the amenities guests enjoy, the hotel has always paid attention to how design works in everyday settings. With “Work In Style”, that same thinking finds its way into fashion, extending the hotel’s creative interests beyond its walls.
