The RIO Club have been proud Platinum Sponsors of the British Women’s Association of Jakarta since 2015, and have donated generously to support BWA’s social welfare programme. The BWA held their annual fundraising charity ball on 4 May 2019, where RIO sponsored a door prize draw with a cash prize, plus a matching donation pledged to a nominated BWA charity in the lucky winner’s name.

We are proud to share this photo of RIO Club’s John Brown and his wife Sarah, presenting their cheque on behalf of this year’s lucky winner, Todd Davis, who unfortunately was called away on business just before the handover and couldn’t be there.

This year’s nominated BWA charity is Yayasan KMB, an orphanage in Jakarta which supports 90 street and abandoned children. Run by Sister Alexia, it has been open since 1996. Pictured are Sister Clement and Sister Emmy, receiving the donation from the RIO Club. The money will go to purchase school uniforms.
