The 100 % Manusia Film Festival returns on September 4–14, 2025 in Jakarta and Yogyakarta with the theme “Empowerment.” Now in its 9th edition, the festival celebrates 11 incredible days, with 9 fringe programs across 7 screening venues in 2 cities.

The festival will open with the Austrian drama How To Be Normal and The Oddness of The Other World by Florian Pochlatko, fresh from the Berlinale 2025, while the closing night will feature a surprise Indonesian film.

Festival Ambassador Eka Budianta shares, “Empowerment begins with small acts of courage. This festival is a ripple that continues to grow into a wave of change.” Michael Wislocki of the Austrian Embassy emphasized that cinema serves as a cultural bridge between Austria and Indonesia. Meanwhile, Festival Ambassador Paul Agusta adds, “100 % Manusia Film Festival screens brave stories that rarely reach audiences, provides a safe space, and strengthens empathy—because that’s what being 100 % human is all about.”
