Indonesia Design Week (IDW) 2025, the flagship event of Indonesia Design District (IDD) PIK 2 returns from 12-20 September 2025, celebrating the diverse and dynamic world of design.
Over the course of ten days, IDW 2025 will transform IDD PIK2 into a vibrant, interactive playground for creativity that brings together designers, architects, creative communities, and the wider public under one roof through an expansive lineup of engaging events and programs. The dynamic spirit of the event comes alive through immersive installations, curated showcases, and interactive signature programs designed to deliver a holistic visitor experience.

This year, IDW embraces the theme Ideantity, a concept that explores how identity is shaped and expressed through design and underscores IDW’s commitment to fostering a uniquely Indonesian voice in the global design landscape while remaining open to global influences. It reflects how design can both celebrate local identity and serve as a bridge to global dialogue.
At the Market Hall, visitors will find a lively design exhibition featuring both local and international brands as well as a bold showcase reflecting cutting-edge global trends and innovations. Meanwhile, the Artisan Alley at The Mandapa will host a curated bazaar spotlighting Indonesian crafts and artistic expressions, inviting visitors on a tactile journey through the heart of local creativity.

Building on this immersive atmosphere, IDW 2025 cultivates meaningful industry collaborations through a suite of signature programs. Among them is Millimeter Manifesto, featuring nine Indonesian product designers whose works reveal the subtle yet powerful impact of thoughtful design.
IDW 2025 also teams up with leading design publications, including Archinesia, Dezeen, and Design Anthology, who will host a series of engaging design dialogues. These conversations welcome visitors to not just observe but participate in shaping the future of design.

Moreover, IDW champions its retail community, partnering with IDD tenants to host in-store events, product launches, and exclusive brand installations from names like SMEG, Snaidero, Toto, and MM Galleri, all bringing the festival spirit into individual retail experiences. These activations give brands a dynamic platform to connect directly with design-conscious audiences.
Complementing these are interactive public programs, including hands-on workshops and live demos that invite guests to step into the creative process. Visitors can engage directly with designers and makers, gaining behind-the-scenes insight into their practice and the stories behind their work.

To inspire the next generation of talent, IDW 2025 offers guided insight tours for design firms, creative communities, and university students. A student exhibition will spotlight emerging voices, showcasing experimental projects and bold, fresh perspectives on design and innovation.
Adding a playful twist to the program, IDW 2025 will be the second time it hosts the Firm Office Grand Prix, Indonesia’s first office chair racing competition, which brings laughter and creativity to life in motion. In addition, IDW 2025 presents ‘Sip & Tip’, hosted by BIKA Living, where designers and brand owners take over the bar to serve guests in support of a meaningful cause. All tips will be donated to those in need.

For those outside North Jakarta, a co-satellite exhibition at ASHTA District 8 Mall offers a convenient alternative location to experience IDW. To ensure accessibility, free daily shuttle service will run between ASHTA and IDD, making it easier than ever to explore everything IDW 2025 has to offer.
Supported by the Ministry of Creative Economy (EKRAF) and media partners including Design Anthology, Dezeen, Archinesia, Indonesia Design, and MRA Group, IDW 2025 stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit driving Indonesia’s design industry forward. From immersive showcases to engaging discussions and playful competitions, IDW is committed to making design accessible, relevant, and inspiring to all.
