As part of its CSR efforts, 26 Marriott International properties in Indonesia collaborated to raise awareness on education by donating 1,104 books for the Mobile Library Program operated by Yayasan Emmanuel.

Since its inception in 2007, The Mobile Library Program by Yayasan Emmanuel is committed to providing access to books and reading to disadvantaged children and families in the greater Jakarta area in order to improve literacy rate and instill a love of reading from a young age. Until now, the Mobile Library Programme has donated over 6,200 books which it provides to thousands of children in the Bogor, Greater Bogor and Jakarta area via trucks with a specially retrofitted cargo area. Since then, the programme has served over 115,100 children and mothers.

Books were handed over to representatives of Yayasan Emmanuel during a specia event held on 12 December 2018 at Aloft Jakarta.
