At Kinderland’s 30th anniversary celebration, it was the children who led the programme. Held at the Sasono Langen Budoyo Auditorium at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, the event saw students introducing segments, performing on stage, and speaking with a level of assurance that reflected Kinderland’s focus over the past three decades: helping young learners build confidence early, in ways that continue to empower them as they grow.

Since opening its first centre in Pondok Indah in 1995, Kinderland has supported the early learning journeys of more than 10,000 children in Jakarta. Its approach blends a bilingual, music-infused curriculum developed in Singapore with Indonesian cultural values that children recognise and grow up with. Over time, this balance has helped Kinderland become the largest Singapore preschool brand in Jakarta, known among parents for consistent standards and a clear educational direction.

Growth has been careful and steady, expanding from one location, Kinderland now operates seven centres across Pondok Indah, Bonavista, Pakubuwono, Mega Kuningan, Sunrise Garden, Muara Karang, and Pulo Mas. For families, this network means familiar expectations across campuses and a shared understanding of how learning, routines, and care are handled from day to day.

The 30th anniversary celebration reflected what families see during regular school days. Students opened the event as emcees, stepping onto the stage in traditional Indonesian attire, speaking openly and clearly. Performances followed through music, dance, and drama rooted in Indonesian traditions. The emphasis was on participation and confidence, showing how cultural learning is embedded into daily classroom life.

The celebration also served as a moment to recognise the leadership behind Kinderland’s growth. In attendance were Singapore’s Ambassador to Indonesia H.E Kwok Fook Seng, Seemun Suparno, founder of Kinderland Preschools in Jakarta, Jonathan Adijanto, Director of Kinderland Preschools in Jakarta, and Seet Lee Kiang, Director of Kinderland International Education. Their presence reflected the ongoing exchange between Singapore and Indonesia that continues to inform Kinderland’s curriculum and teaching standards.

As the celebration drew to a close, attention returned to the teachers who guide children through their earliest years of learning. Their consistency has been central to Kinderland’s journey, building a school environment where families recognise familiar faces and shared values over time.
