“Bringing together The Best Indonesian & International Ballet Stars”
This event is a celebration of the art of ballet and brings awareness of this timeless art form, with a focus on facilitating educational exchange between international and local dancers through cultural collaboration. Initiated by Ballet.id, a non-profit organization fueled by the passion and love for ballet from Indonesia that aimed to enable a supportive environment, and to develop through collaboration.
The 3rd Indonesian Ballet Gala as the third rendition of the Indonesian Ballet Gala that premiered in 2015, promises to be an extraordinary event, performing unique Indonesian Ballet Style, along with the most beloved classical ballet repertoire, such as Le Corsaire, Delibes Suite, Romeo & Juliet, and many more. The event will also feature rarely-seen neo-classical and modern ballet pieces by the world renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine and David Dawson. The Dancers are from Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Scotland, Australia, Philippines and Indonesia.
Over and beyond the performances, The 3rd Indonesian Ballet Gala presented as an initiative of collaboration to connect our talented local ballet artists in Indonesia with the talented ballet artists across the globe to expand their potential by meeting in this platform of ballet educational and cultural exchange.
This Gala is supported by the Italian Cultural Institute, Institut Français Indonesia and Australian Embassy Jakarta.
