ASHTA District 8 reimagines the lifecycle of discarded objects through ARTCYCLE: EARTHFORM. Running from April 20 to May 17, 2026, at the Melting Pot, this Earth Month initiative creates a sophisticated dialogue between industrial design, fine art, and environmental advocacy. The curated exploration centers on “meaningful evolution,” where the focus shifts from consumption to the inherent value of materials.

The core of EARTHFORM dwells in radical collaborations. Contemporary visual artists and pioneering sustainable brands have joined forces to breathe life into the overlooked. Discarded plastics, textile remnants, and bio-based fibers lose their “waste” status and emerge as objects of high-end function and aesthetic desire. The structural ingenuity of Aharimu x Chop Value and Alphabad x Rebricks, alongside the poetic textures of Lala Bohang x Pable, Gula x norm:al: living, and Harishazka x Bell Living Lab, proves circular design represents the new standard of luxury.

“ARTCYCLE: EARTHFORM reflects our commitment to narratives that are creatively resonant and socially impactful,” says Leonardo Slatter, Sr. Manager Marketing Communications at ASHTA District 8. The initiative aims to shatter stigmas around sustainability, urging the creative community to recognize the wealth of potential in everyday materials.

This vision gains further depth through the Bakti Lingkungan Djarum Foundation (BLDF). Their involvement bridges the gap between artistic expression and ecological action. With a focus on organic waste management and conservation, BLDF’s presence transforms the exhibition into a platform for advocacy. Mutiara Diah Asmara, Director of Communications at Djarum Foundation, explains that the goal makes environmental issues visceral, creative, and deeply relevant to the modern urbanite.

One evocative chapter features the collaboration between Liberty Society and MOP Beauty. Their installation, Journey into Sustainability, pulls back the curtain on Indonesia’s waste reality. A sweeping Tyvek canopy, inspired by the stark horizons of Bantar Gebang, guides visitors from the “vanishing point” of daily consumption toward a future of renewal.

The experience invites tactile participation throughout the space. Visitors explore the mechanics of change at the Upcycled Museum, personalise belongings at the Repair Station, or contribute to the collective Tree of Hope. Specialized Dropbox Stations, including the IEMAHKAI installation by Cahyono Perdana, turn the act of disposal into a contribution to art. Furthermore, the Product Pop-Up features goods from green startups, with 10% of proceeds directly supporting women’s empowerment through the Liberty Society Foundation.

ASHTA also integrates these values into the retail experience through exclusive perks. Guests who bring their own tumblers enjoy premium coffee for a fraction of the price. ASRI Living app users secure Hydro Flask discounts and shopping vouchers. These rewards reinforce the idea that a sustainable lifestyle feels both practical and aspirational.

ARTCYCLE: EARTHFORM solidifies ASHTA District 8’s position as a destination where culture and conscience meet. The space encourages reflection and celebrates the circular economy—a reminder that a change in perspective redefines the world.
