Transforming the usual concert hall setting, audiences will step into GPIB Immanuel and Soehanna Hall, where the glow of thousands of candles sets the mood. The historic church and the sleek performance space each bring their own character, but both promise an atmosphere where music feels closer, warmer, and more personal.
Already a phenomenon in cities such as Sydney, Jaipur, and Singapore, Candlelight® has captivated audiences worldwide with its multisensory approach. Launched by Fever, the platform known for curating cultural and live entertainment experiences, the series was created to make classical music more accessible. By staging performances in unexpected locations from cathedrals and palaces to rooftops and gardens, Candlelight® blends timeless compositions with immersive settings that speak to both tradition and modernity.
A New Chapter for Jakarta’s Cultural Scene
The Jakarta edition will also spotlight local talent with musicians joining the line-up to bring their artistry to the stage. Programmes are curated to be wide-ranging and inclusive, moving fluidly between classical masters and contemporary icons. Audiences can expect the timeless works of Mozart, Chopin, and Vivaldi alongside imaginative renditions of songs by Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran.
