From 22–25 July 2025 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, EVOLVE x MVB Indonesia will host two sessions at Food & Hospitality Indonesia (FHI) 2025 that explore the future of sustainable food and design in hospitality.

Join experts, changemakers, and innovators as they share insights, strategies, and real-world practices for building a greener and more sustainable hospitality sector. By attending, guests deepen their understanding of sustainable food sourcing, learn how design can drive long-term sustainability, connect with industry leaders and sustainability pioneers, and become part of the movement shaping Indonesia’s green hospitality future. Moderating the sessions is Alistair Speirs, Founder of MVB Indonesia.

The first session on Thursday, 24 July 2025 from 4PM to 6 PM covers the topic of “What is ‘Sustainable’ Food?”, as discussed by Agung Putra Purwanto – Control Union, Nina Rossiana – Rainforest Alliance, Helianti Hilman – Javara Indonesia and, Tobias Wilson – Shiva Industries. As an in-depth look at Indonesia’s potential for producing top-quality sustainable food products that meet the evolving demands of the hospitality sector, it will explore:

  • The requirements and challenges of being a certified sustainable food supplier
  • Benchmarks and certification options for sustainable food production 
  • The role of procurement and supply chains in enabling sustainable sourcing
  • The implications of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) on the food industry
  • Examples of sustainable food producers and best practices

Session 2 on Friday, 25 July 2025 from 12 PM to 1.30 PM covers the topic of “Designed for Sustainability”, focusing on how energy performance standards, smart equipment, and sustainable design are reshaping hospitality operations, including kitchens, laundries, spas, and pools. Speakers include Yuki Susanto – PT Suparma Tbk, Nico Perez – PT PIPA and Johnny Chow – Panca Utama Asia. Topics covered range from:

  • Public-private partnerships in sustainable infrastructure
  • Benchmarking energy-efficient and water-efficient systems
  • Sustainable equipment and green technology for hospitality facilities
  • Renewable energy integration and system optimization
  • Compliance with environmental standards and cost-saving innovations
