
Over the past year, ERRE & Urrechu has introduced Jakarta to the depth of Basque fire cooking. As it marks its first anniversary, the restaurant at Gran Meliá Jakarta is leaning into a more relaxed way of dining, without changing the care and the craft behind the food.
After proving the concept with successful spots in Barcelona and Marbella, this first Asian flagship has spent the last year building a reputation for authentic wood-fire grilling. Now, Chef Íñigo Urrechu is expanding on that success with a refreshed menu versatile enough for both special occasions and casual dinners alike.



The new lineup highlights versatile creations, including flame-grilled Basque pintxos paired with a warm tomato pilpil sauce, and a buttery brioche filled with sweet crab stew and citrus-kimchi mayonnaise. Guests can also enjoy a traditional Catalonian seafood soup, grilled barramundi served over creamy gnocchi, and the restaurant’s signature Wagyu MB5 “Chuletón Español” accompanied by smoked seasonal vegetables. The meal, then, concludes with their classic Basque cheesecake.
Great food needs the right drink to match, and a smoother dining room to back it up. To pull this off, the team has brought on Alfiansyah, Indonesia’s Best Sommelier 2021, to craft wine pairings that perfectly complement the new wood-fired menu. Alongside him, new Restaurant Manager Aditya Prasapta brings two decades of luxury hospitality experience to ensure the dining room feels seamless from start to finish.

Chef Íñigo Urrechu noted that this anniversary chapter aligns with how people like to dine and connect today, adding fresh energy to the table yet keeping traditional cooking techniques in the spotlight. The anniversary celebrations kick off with two curated events: an intimate “Behind The Fire of ERRE” luncheon for tastemakers, and an anniversary wine dinner titled “A Toast to ERRE’s New Chapter.” Through these updates, ERRE & Urrechu Jakarta continues to establish itself as a key destination for Spanish gastronomy in the city.
