As travellers increasingly seek experiences that offer more than sightseeing and relaxation, a new trend is emerging at the crossroads of wellness, psychology and hospitality. Recognising this shift, ARTOTEL Group has launched Mindhavana, an innovative psychology tourism programme designed to help guests reconnect with themselves while enjoying the restorative benefits of travel.
In today’s fast-paced world, many people are discovering that a traditional holiday is no longer enough. While a change of scenery can provide temporary respite from daily pressures, there is a growing desire for experiences that encourage personal reflection, emotional renewal and lasting wellbeing.
Mindhavana responds to this need by combining hospitality with professional psychological guidance. Developed in collaboration with PT Perisai Psikologi Indonesia, the programme invites participants to embark on a journey of self-discovery, emotional balance and personal growth, transforming travel into a meaningful and purposeful experience.
Rather than focusing solely on relaxation, Mindhavana places wellbeing at the heart of every stage of the journey. Through guided discussions, psychological assessments and reflective activities led by professional psychologists, participants are encouraged to pause, gain fresh perspectives and reconnect with what matters most in their lives.
The programme is tailored specifically for individuals aged 50 and above, a period often marked by reflection, transition and the pursuit of renewed purpose. Under the theme A Return to Yourself: For the Life Still Ahead, Mindhavana offers a supportive environment where guests can explore personal development while surrounded by the comfort and tranquillity of selected destinations.
Participants can choose from three locations within the ARTOTEL Group portfolio: ARTOTEL Casa Hang Tuah Jakarta, ARTOTEL Pelangi Park, and The Green Peak, ARTOTEL Curated. Flexible programme options ranging from three to seven days allow guests to undertake the experience at a pace that suits their individual needs and preferences.
“As a hotel group driven by creativity, lifestyle and innovation, we recognise that travellers are increasingly looking for experiences that go beyond conventional concepts of wellness,” she said. “Through Mindhavana, we hope to create a space where people can pause, reflect on their life journey and reconnect with themselves in a deeper and more meaningful way.” said Nastalia Nursanti, Director of Sales & Revenue at ARTOTEL Group as she believes the programme reflects a growing demand for more meaningful travel experiences.
At the core of the initiative is the emerging concept of Psychological Tourism, an approach that places emotional and psychological growth at the centre of the travel experience. Rather than simply visiting a destination, participants are encouraged to engage in a journey of self-understanding, resilience and personal transformation.
As the boundaries between travel, wellness and personal development continue to evolve, Mindhavana represents a pioneering step towards a more holistic vision of hospitality. It reimagines hotels not merely as places to stay, but as spaces that nurture emotional wellbeing, inspire reflection and support meaningful life journeys.
With Mindhavana, the destination may be important, but the most significant journey is ultimately the one within.
