Afternoon teas can roll out in many different ways, but on rare occasions— a hotel will take this familiar ritual and spin it into something unexpected. Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is doing just that with the launch of its Liquid Gold Afternoon Tea at La Patisserie, a honey-inspired celebration that runs from 21 September 2025 to 15 January 2026.
This seasonal experience is an exploration of honey’s depth, versatility and artistry, all curated in a partnership with Beema Honey. This award-winning producer of Indonesian raw honey, uses single-origin honey sourced from rainforests and organic plantations across the archipelago, providing the golden thread that ties together every plate, pasty and pour. Their dedication to sustainable beekeeping adds a layer of purpose, guests will have a fulfilling experience knowing that every spoonful carries both flavour and responsibility.
Executive Pastry Chef Lorenzo Sollecito takes the lead in reimagining teatime classics with a golden touch. The Yellowfin Tuna Tartare with dark acacia honey and yuzu gelée balances delicacy with intensity, while the Sunflower Choux is filled with rambutan blossom honey, cream cheese mousse and strawberry compote, makes a vibrant standout that lingers on the palate. Even the humble scone receives an upgrade, its familiar comfort heightened with a drizzle of Beema’s nuanced nectars. On the savoury side, the Beef au Soleil showcases tenderloin lifted by Java gold honey and caramelised onion, creating a dish as indulgent as it is balanced.

Drinks, too, are transformed. The Parfum de Pêche cocktail blends cotton blossom honey with Tanqueray gin and peach liqueur, while the Bee’s Garden mocktail layers trigona honey with chamomile and ginger for a refreshing lift. Dammann Frères teas round off the journey, proving a worthy partner to honey’s varied expressions. It feels less like a standard pairing and more like a carefully orchestrated symphony of flavour.
The presentation matches the theme. La Patisserie, dressed in yellows and floral flourishes, sets a photogenic cheerful stage. Prices start at IDR 588,000++ for two, inclusive of a welcome drink and selected teas, with options to enhance the experience through premium teas, honey-based cocktails or a glass of wine.
The Liquid Gold theme doesn’t end here. In the coming months, the hotel will extend its honey-centred celebration to other venues: smoothies at Dolcetto, golden breakfasts at Palm Court, cocktails at Nautilus, a honey-glazed Sunday Brunch at Alto, and even a Liquid Gold Healing Ritual at the spa; a two-hour indulgence with bee honey scrub, wrap and massage.
At its heart, though, this experience is a tribute to the honeybee, a creature whose work sustains ecosystems and delights our tables. Through its collaboration with Beema Honey, Four Seasons Jakarta not only delivers a culinary indulgence but also a reminder of nature’s golden gift: pure, raw honey crafted with integrity, artistry and care.
