Disciples Escoffier Indonesia is joining hands with AMUZ Gourmet Jakarta to host the “Le Diner d’Epicure: An Epicurean Dinner”, a lavish fusion of culinary mastery taking place on Friday, 27 October 2023.
Savour this one-night-only dinner event, showcasing an unparalleled French Gastronomy Fair brought to your table by prominent chefs in the ever-growing culinary scene of the capital. Chef Jo Ruston of Basque Bar and Tapas, Chef Sacha Lefebvre from Paris Sorbet, Disciples Escoffier Chef Stefu Santoso, Pastry Chef Fransisca Tamba, and Disciples Escoffier Indonesia President, Chef Gilles Marx all will be lending their talents to satisfy your palate at the AMUZ Gourmet Restaurant.
The Disciples Escoffier is a worldwide association of chefs, who serve to promote the values of August Escoffier since 1954. With more than 30,000 members in 47 countries, the values of the association are to honour the memory of Escoffier, to promote the art of cooking and eatery, to organise culinary competitions for young chefs and waiters, to bring closer together chefs and associations. The disciples of Escoffier have maintained an annual tradition of “Diner d’Epicure”.
This collaboration dinner will feature the culinary prowess of the five esteemed Disciples Escoffier Chefs, presenting a one-of-a-kind 7-course Gala Dinner paired with premium wines. The courses include:
• Chef Jo with his Le Poisson du Jour en Caparccio (green job fish crudo, yuzu granita, pearl aonori cracker Domaine Tariquet) served with Sauvignon Blanc 2021;
• Chef Stefu with his Steamed Tiger Grouper served with Domaine Tariquet Chardonnay 2021;
• Chef Gilles’ Slow-Roasted Wagyu Beef Prime Rib Gratin Dauphinois served with Vidal Fleury Chataeuneuf du Pape 2013.
Pastry Chef Fransisca along with Chef Sacha will close off the dinner with their sweet and delectable desserts; AMUZ’s signature Delice au Chocolat Amer et Framboise Valhrona (Guayana chocolate and raspberry mousse, pistachio crumble and raspberry gel) and Chef Sacha’s interpretation on a Mille-Feullie Vanilla with pecan nuts and homemade vanilla ice cream, paired with Domaine Tariquet Chardonnay 2021.

You will begin your tantalising evening culinary journey with a stop at Diner d’Epicure Cocktail at ARTOZ Whisky Bar, followed by dinner at AMUZ Gourmet commencing at 6.30pm. In the spirit of giving back, Disciples Escoffier Indonesia will hand generous portions of the night’s proceedings to Yayasan Komunitas Ambiente, which focuses on assisting the communities in Agats, Papua, Indonesia.
