The BBC recently released its “100 Women of 2018” list, a selection of inspiring and influential women from around the world. Indonesian Comedian Sakdiyah Ma’ruf was among them. Awarded the Václav Havel Prize for Creative Dissent at the Oslo Freedom Forum in May 2015, she uses comedy as a way to challenge Islamic extremism and violence against women.
